Kari Kikuchi

English/Japanese Voice Artist

Home: Welcome
Vintage Mic

Born and raised in Southern California to Japanese parents, Kari Kikuchi bridges the gap between Japanese and American cultures. A native English speaker but studied Japanese language at Saturday School growing up and at UC Berkeley and can speak both fluently.

Following college, Kari followed her travel bug and moved to Japan to work in local government with the JET Program(me). While there, Kari almost had the opportunity to interpret for England’s former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, but was fortunate enough to interpret for the wife of the Ambassador of Japan at the time, Mrs. Mondale.

Traveling to most countries in South East Asia along with England and Ireland, Kari was exposed to many different cultures and learned to appreciate different voices. Kari hasn’t been able to kick the travel bug since.

Upon returning home to Southern California, Kari established a background in international sales and this extensive experience working with a range of global customers allows her to understand various client needs and the importance of completing projects quickly.

Kari can lend her talent to a range of roles and has a voice that has been described as down to earth, warm, trustworthy, relatable and dramatic which would be apt for company recordings, commercials, narrations, audiobooks and instructional videos. Kari also takes to instruction easily so she will get the job done exactly to your satisfaction.
